The staff had delayed episodes 7-13 of the anime's fourth season (episodes 43-49 of the overall anime) due to the November 1 passing of an unnamed main staff member of the anime. The announcement noted the main staff member who passed away was "indispensable" to the production, so the production committee and the anime's studio Brains Base decided on the delay after some discussion.
The anime premiered its fourth season on Tokyo MX, YTV, Hokkaido Broadcasting, and BS11 on October 3, and on Channel neco on October 7. Amazon Prime began streaming the anime in Japan from October 3. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan, and is also streaming an English dub.
Brains Base is animating the new season instead of Geno Studio. Shizutaka Sugahara (D-Frag!) is the chief director, replacing director Hitoshi Nanba. Noboru Takagi is returning to oversee the series scripts. Takumi Yamakawa is the new character designer, replacing Kenichi Ohnuki. ALI performs the opening theme song "NEVER SAY GOODBYE feat. Mummy-D." THE SPELLBOUND performs the ending theme song "Subete ga Soko ni Arimasu You Ni" (I Pray That Everything Will be There).
The first television anime season premiered in April 2018. Crunchyroll streamed the series with English subtitles as it aired in Japan, and Funimation streamed it with an English dub. The second season premiered in October 2018. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired, and Funimation began streaming an English dub later that month. The third season premiered in October 2020. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. Funimation streamed an English dub.
Golden Kamuy was one of several big series set to launch this year, but as we all know, its run did not last for long this season. As October came around, the hit series only rolled out a few episodes before moving to a sudden hiatus. Season four has been quiet ever since, but thanks to a new update, we have learned when Golden Kamuy will return to the small screen.
Of course, few details have been shared about the comeback, but we do know a good bit about Golden Kamuy's sudden break. The show released season four at the start of October 2022, and it went on until early November before things came to a halt. After episode six dropped, Golden Kamuy shared it was going on hiatus due to the death of an unnamed crew member. Little else was shared about Golden Kamuy until this week, but now we do know season four will be back before long.
If you need to catch up with Golden Kamuy, now is the perfect time to brush up on all the action. Seasons one through three are streaming on Crunchyroll as well as the first few episodes of season four. Want to know more about Golden Kamuy? You can read the anime's official synopsis below for all the details:
Bad news for those involved in the production of Golden Kamuy, as well as fans of the series as the remaining episodes of the currently-airing fourth season are to be delayed indefinitely. This is following the unfortunate passing of an unnamed main staff member "indispensable" to the production on Tuesday, November 1.
The delay is set to be in effect for episodes 6 to 12 of season four (which corresponds to episodes 43 to 49 overall). The studio responsible for the production of Golden Kamuy season 4, Brains Base, came to the decision after some discussions, with the anime's Blu-Ray and DVD release schedules expected to undergo some change following subsequent discussions about the project's future.
Golden Kamuy season 4 premiered on Tokyo MX on October 3, with Amazon Prime streaming in Japan and Crunchyroll simulcasting the subbed anime while streaming the series' English dub. The production of Golden Kamuy changed studios for the fourth season, with Brains Base taking over from Geno Studio (Kokkoku), who was responsible for the series' first three seasons.
Chief director of this season of Golden Kamuy changed from Hitoshi Namba to Shizutaka Suguhara following the change in production houses. Nobori Takagi is in charge of the scripts; while character design is done by Takumi Yamakawa, who replaces Kenichi ÅŒnuki (Tokyo Revengers).
The first season of Golden Kamuy premiered in April 2018, with simulcast on Crunchyroll. Funimation was responsible for streaming the series in English, as was the case with the Crunchyroll simulcast and Funimation dub of the second season of Golden Kamuy, which premiered in October 2018.
Both Crunchyroll and Funimation were also responsible for the series' simulcast and English dub respectively for the third season. The anime series is based on Satoru Noda's manga, which was published in Shueisha's Young Jump magazine from 2014 to 2022.
The return of Golden Kamuy for a fourth season comes with several important changes to the production. For one, the anime will be changing studios. The first three seasons were created by Hitoshi Nanba at Geno Studios. The fourth season, however, will be created at Brain's Base and Shizutaka Sugahara will take over as chief director of the series. Brain's Base was established in 1996 and has produced many animes including Duel Masters King. Sugahara has worked on several previous Brain's Base Productions. Takumi Yamakawa will also be taking over as character designer for the series. Yamakawa has previously worked as animation director for five episodes of To Your Eternity.
No release date has yet been set for the fourth season of the Golden Kamuy anime. However, you can view the first three seasons on Crunchyroll. Dubbed versions of the series are also available for streaming on Funimation. You can check out the new trailer for season 4 below:

Unfortunately, a specific release date for Golden Kamuy season 4 episode 1 was not shared. However, assuming the series will maintain its normal programming block in Japan, fans can expect the anime to return on either Monday, October 3rd or Monday, October 10th.
The anime is also expected to return to simulcasting on Crunchyroll, following the recent merger with Funimation. This article will be updated as soon as the international streaming partner and episode count for Golden Kamuy season 4 have been shared.
Unfortunately, the next season of the anime will be the next piece of new Golden Kamuy content that fans have to look forward to. This is because the original manga series by Satoru Noda has sadly reached its conclusion, with the release of chapter 314 today, April 28th, marking the end of the story.
Golden Kamuy revealed today that the TV anime adaptation of Satoru Noda's manga continues its trek through Japan's northernmost island in the fourth season on October 3. Alongside the broadcast date, a new trailer was released which both announced and previewed the opening theme song as well as announcing the ending theme song and new cast additions.

Rather than completely stopping the Fall 2022 TV broadcast, the Golden Kamuy Production Committee decided to re-broadcast the first 6 episodes alongside OAD 1. The broadcast of the fourth season will restart in April 2023 beginning with Golden Kamuy Episode 37 (Golden Kamuy Season 4 Episode 1).
A single cour TV season is not enough episodes to adapt the remainder of the Golden Kamuy manga unless the story is heavily condensed. As such, fans should expect to watch the Golden Kamuy Season 5 anime TV show in the future. 041b061a72
